Kathmandu- Chery is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup in Nepal with the launch of the all-new CHERY Q, a 100 percent electric B-segment urban crossover, at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 this August.

Designed for everyday city commuting, the CHERY Q is built on a dedicated EV platform and combines compact dimensions with a spacious cabin. The vehicle offers 375 liters of boot space, which can be expanded to 1,450 liters by folding the rear seats.

The electric crossover is powered by a 90 kW permanent magnet motor paired with a 41.2 kWh LFP battery, delivering rear-wheel drive (RWD) performance. Chery claims the vehicle offers a driving range of up to 400 kilometers (NEDC) on a full charge.

For charging convenience, the CHERY Q supports DC fast charging of up to 85 kW, enabling the battery to charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 16 minutes. The vehicle also features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing users to power external electrical devices directly from the car.

The CHERY Q will be available in three variants, with five exterior color options and two interior themes, targeting Nepal’s rapidly growing electric mobility market.

The official launch is scheduled to take place during the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, which will be held from August 11 to 16 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The company expects the new model to appeal to urban buyers looking for a practical, technology-focused, and efficient electric crossover.
