Kathmandu-Thousands of devotees have gathered at Devghatdham from the early hours today to participate in the Maghe Sankranti, Maghe Sankranti, celebrated on the first day of the Nepali month Magh.
Devghatdham, a revered religious site, is situated at the tri-junction of Chitwan, Nawalparasi, and Tanahu districts.
To facilitate pilgrims, the local government has arranged a free boat service from Gaindakot to Devghatdham. Shivakant Tiwari, Ward Chair of Gaindakot Municipality-3, stated that free rafting boat services have also been provided from Keladighat to the Beni area of Devghat.
Devotees from various parts of Nepal and neighboring India have arrived to partake in the religious fair, seeking blessings and performing rituals.
