Kathmandu - The NADA Auto Show, which kicked off today at Bhrikutimandap, is showcasing flying cars and robots. 

Organized annually by the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, this year’s edition features technology and innovations.

In its 17th edition, the NADA Auto Show 2025 has drawn special attention from visitors with its display of flying cars and robots.

Chinese company Hangzhou Yushu Technology Co., Ltd. has brought its Unitree robots to the exhibition. 

Unitree is also the title sponsor of the NADA Auto Show 2025. The company has trademarked the Unitree brand and is producing both humanoid robots (Robot Man) and quadruped robots (Robot Dog), both of which are on display at the event.

Similarly, Deepal’s flying car has also been showcased at the Auto Show. 

Under the MAW Group, MAW Vriddhi Auto Corp. Pvt. Ltd. has been selling Deepal’s advanced electric cars in Nepal. The company has brought the flying car to the exhibition as a major attraction of the NADA Auto Show 2025.

The flying car—considered a possible future of urban transportation—has become a major point of curiosity. From the United States to China, governments have already introduced, or are in the process of drafting, laws for flying cars. 

Likewise, Gulf countries, including Dubai, have granted permissions for testing and trials of flying cars.

For Nepal, this is the first time a flying car has been showcased in the domestic market, even if only for exhibition purposes. 

MAW has become the first company to bring a flying car to Nepal, displaying Deepal’s 'EVTOL UAV' at NADA.

The flying car can take off and land vertically. The company describes it as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). It is a fully electric flying car.

In China, several companies are already manufacturing flying cars.

 At the Shanghai Auto Show 2025 held this April, five brands showcased their flying car models. Some companies in China have even obtained licenses to operate flying cars.
