Kathmandu- Today, Holi, the festival of colors, is being celebrated in Kathmandu valley including the hilly regions of the country. 
Also known as Phagu Poornima, the festival is marked by people smearing colorful powders on each other and throwing colored water while dancing and singing.
Basantapur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has witnessed a massive footfall as revelers gather to celebrate the occasion. 
People of all ages, from children to the elderly, actively participate in the festivities.
This year, around 100 Chinese tourists joined in to observe and capture the vibrant celebrations, along with visitors from around the world who flocked to Basantapur to experience the festival. 
The celebration of goodwill and harmony will continue in the Tarai region tomorrow.
