Kathmandu- Golchha Group, a pioneering industrial group, in partnership with Prisma Advertising, has officially entered the film industry under Bioscope Cinema Pvt. Ltd. The debut film Paran was announced on Wednesday at an event in Kathmandu.
Shekhar Golchha, chairman and managing director of Golchha Group, emphasized the importance of preserving Nepali culture and authenticity, sharing his concerns over diluted cultural representation in events held in outside Katmandu valley. 'This project aims to balance authenticity, professionalism, and a corporate culture,' he said.
The film, directed by Deepak Acharya of Sakkigoni fame, marks his directorial debut. It stars Nir Shah in a central role alongside Madan Krishna Shrestha Keki Adhikari, Prabin Khatiwada, Buddhi Tamang, Mahesh Tripathi, Anjana Barailee, Puja Chand, Subhash Gajurel, and Yaman Shrestha.
Filming begins in early Falgun (mid-February) in Kathmandu and Dhankuta.
