Gold prices drop sharply by  Rs 8,100 per tola

Kathmandu- Gold prices in the Nepali market fell sharply on Monday, reaching Rs. 299,900 per tola. Meanwhile, silver prices increased slightly and are being traded at Rs. 4,905 per tola.

On Sunday, gold prices had already declined by Rs. 1,000 per tola to settle at Rs. 308,000. Compared to Sunday, the price dropped further by Rs. 8,100 on Monday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, silver was priced at Rs. 4,895 per tola on Sunday and rose by Rs. 10 on Monday.

Similarly, last Friday, gold was traded at Rs. 309,000 per tola, while silver was priced at Rs. 5,230 per tola.

The Nepali market witnessed the highest-ever gold and silver prices on Magh 15, 2082 (Nepali calendar). On that day, gold reached Rs. 339,300 per tola, while silver climbed to Rs. 7,505 per tola.
