Kathmandu- The government has announced plans to establish the country's first-ever Sovereign AI Compute Center at Syuchatar in Kathmandu.
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle shared this development while presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. According to the Finance Minister, the center will function as the nation's premier sovereign data and computing facility.
'We will establish the country's first sovereign AI Compute Center in Syuchatar, Kathmandu,' Finance Minister Wagle announced. 'By procuring thousands of AI processing units, we will provide subsidized computing power and infrastructure to AI entrepreneurs and tech startups.'
