Kathmandu- The Embassy of India in Nepal marked the 77th Foundation Day of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR). Nepal’s Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel, attended as Chief Guest, underscoring the significance of cultural diplomacy between the two nations.

The evening came alive with a dynamic cultural programme featuring performances by ICCR music teachers and students in Nepal. A Nepali band led by ICCR alumnus artist Rhythm Kandel delivered one of the standout acts, blending contemporary and traditional sounds to enthusiastic applause.

Adding depth to the event, several ICCR alumni from Nepal shared their professional journeys, highlighting how ICCR scholarships have helped shape their careers and artistic growth. Their stories illustrated the long-term impact of cultural exchange initiatives.

The celebration also included competitions on Indian arts and culture, with prizes awarded to winners across various categories.
