Kathmandu-Legendary Nepali climber Kami Rita Sherpa has once again rewritten mountaineering history by successfully summiting Mount Everest for the 32nd time, extending his own world record for the highest number of ascents of the world’s tallest peak.
The 56 year old climber reached the summit at 10:12 am on Saturday, according to the Seven Summit Treks. With the latest ascent, Kami Rita further strengthened his legacy as one of the greatest high altitude climbers in history.
Kami Rita first climbed Everest in 1994 and has since become a global icon in the mountaineering community. Known for his consistency, endurance, and experience in the Himalayas, he continues to inspire climbers around the world.
Widely regarded as Nepal’s national climbing hero, Kami Rita has played a major role in promoting Nepal’s mountaineering reputation on the international stage.
