Shinta Mani Mustang tops '50 Greatest Luxury Hotels on Earth 2026' List

Kathmandu- In a major milestone for Nepal's luxury tourism industry, Shinta Mani Mustang has been ranked No. 1 on Robb Report's prestigious '50 Greatest Luxury Hotels on Earth 2026' list.

The annual ranking is regarded as one of the hospitality industry's most respected benchmarks for luxury travel. It is compiled based on evaluations by 24 international travel experts, known as the Travel Masters, who select the world's finest hotels for affluent and discerning travelers. This year, Shinta Mani Mustang surpassed many of the world's most renowned luxury properties to claim the top position.

Robb Report described Shinta Mani Mustang as one of acclaimed designer Bill Bensley's finest creations, praising it as an exceptional destination that combines breathtaking Himalayan scenery, authentic local culture, and transformative experiences that promote both physical and mental well-being.

According to Namgyal Sherpa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sherpa Hospitality Group (SHG), the recognition represents far more than the success of a single hotel. He said it is a global acknowledgment of Nepal's long-term efforts to connect its rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, local communities, and authenticity with the international luxury tourism market.

Sherpa informed that Shinta Mani Mustang has consistently earned global recognition.

In 2024, it was included in the 'Best of the Best' and '50 Best Luxury Hotels in the World' lists. In 2025, it won the title of 'Best Luxury Adventure Hotel,' and in 2026, it achieved the distinction of being named the world's best luxury hotel. He credited the achievement to the collective efforts of the hotel's staff, partners, the local Mustang community, and its guests.

Opened in August 2023, Shinta Mani Mustang is a luxury resort located in Lower Mustang. Designed by internationally renowned architect and designer Bill Bensley, the resort blends environmental sustainability, local culture, and world-class luxury hospitality.

Operating under an all-inclusive concept with a minimum five-night stay, the resort creates personalized itineraries for every guest. Through its Bensley Adventure Butler service, visitors are offered exclusive experiences that immerse them in Mustang's culture, heritage, and dramatic Himalayan landscapes.

In addition to Shinta Mani Mustang, Sherpa Hospitality Group operates Mountain Lodges of Nepal in the Annapurna, Everest, and Manang regions, Kasara Chitwan in Chitwan, and Hokke Lumbini in Lumbini. The company says it is committed to establishing Nepal as a leading destination for sustainable, culturally rich, and high-end tourism.
