Kathmandu- Nepal 's tourism sector is rebounded, with more than 96,000 international visitors in February.
According to data given by Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal welcomed 96,880 tourists on previous month, almost reaching corresponding month of last year's number at 99. 4 percent.
In February, 2023, the total tourism arrival were 97,426 while, 99,426 in 2023.
Due the COVID Pandemic the foreign visiting to Nepal had dropped in 2022 with 45,152 and just 9,266 in 2021 respectively.
Before pandemic, it were 98,190 in 2020 and surpassed six-digit figures in 2019. The tourist came to Nepal were 102,423 in that year.
Meanwhile, 87,686 tourists had departed in the review period.
Travelers from India once again topped the list. 19,187 Indian had travelled to Nepal via air in February.
USA secured the second place with 10,348 American came to Nepal in that month, followed by China (8,232), Thailand (5,609), and the UK (5,057).
Regionally, South Asia (SAARC) led with 31 percent of arrivals, while other Asian countries contributed 29 percent. Europe brought in 15,971 visitors (16.5 percent), the Americas saw 12,560 (13 percent), and Oceania added 3,961 (4.1 percent).
Meanwhile, the Middle East, Africa, and other regions accounted for the rest.
