Kathmandu –In the first five months of 2025, 3.893 million passengers traveled through Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
According to Airport Chief Jagannath Niraula, between January and May, the airport handled 53,198 flights, including 12,885 international and 40,346 domestic takeoffs and landings.
2.03 Million International Air Travelers
According to the airport office, 2,036,862 people made international air journeys in the five months from January to May 2025.
Of these, the number of passengers departing from Nepal was 1,024,234, while the number of passengers arriving in Nepal was 987,418.
According to airport office data, 387,034 people traveled internationally in January, 373,534 in February, 424,522 in March, 457,010 in April, and 394,649 in May.
The airport office also reported a total of 12,885 international take-offs and landings during these five months.
1.85 Million Domestic Air Travelers
1,856,862 people made domestic air journeys through TIA during the five-month period from January to May 2025.
Of these, the number of passengers departing from Kathmandu was 948,440, and the number of passengers arriving in Kathmandu from outside was 908,431.
According to the airport office, 312,926 passengers traveled domestically in January, 357,769 in February, 407,775 in March, 407,894 in April, and 370,498 in May.
Additionally, there were 40,346 domestic take-offs and landings during these five months.
