Kathmandu- Sarbottam Cement is making big moves. It's subsidiary company Sarbottam Holding has officially acquired Shubhashree Jagdamba Cement Mills and Jagdamba Cement Company, two well-known brands in Nepal’s cement industry.
The deal was announced during Sarbottam Cement’s sixth general meeting, revealing that the company bought Jagdamba Cement’s shares at Rs 15 per share and Shubhashree Jagdamba Cement Mills’ shares at Rs 100 per share.
Jagdamba Cement has been in the market since 2001, building a strong dealer network and brand trust.
This also marks the exit of Shankar Group from Jagdamba Cement. Previously, the company had a capital of Rs 1 billion, with 45% ownership by Shankar Group and 55% by Saurabh Group’s Neupane brothers.
With this move, Sarbottam Cement expands its market dominance and strengthens its position as a key player in Nepal’s construction industry.
