Kathmandu- The U.S. Embassy in Nepal supported a CEO Dialogue on 'Leveraging Technology and Storytelling for Tourism' in Bhairahawa, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening U.S.–Nepal commercial ties and fostering investment, innovation, and economic growth.
Implemented by Aadyanta Advisory and the International Development Institute, and co-organized with AmCham Nepal and the Global Impact Collective, the dialogue brought together tourism industry leaders, digital innovators, policymakers, academics, media professionals, and young entrepreneurs. Participants explored how technology and compelling storytelling can help Nepal attract higher-value visitors and increase tourism-related investment.
American entrepreneur and Silicon Valley innovator Dileep Dhakal, Founder and CEO of Veel, highlighted how creator-driven digital platforms are reshaping tourism marketing by turning traveler and creator-generated content into a powerful tool for destination visibility, engagement, and business growth. Attendees also received an exclusive preview of Veel's user-generated content dashboard, showcasing the potential of AI-enabled marketing and creator economy platforms to promote Nepal globally.
Shiva Dhakal, Founder and Managing Director of Royal Mountain Group, emphasized responsible tourism and narrative-driven promotion as key competitive advantages for Nepal. He shared his vision for leveraging experience design and digital storytelling to position Nepal as a premier destination for high-value international travelers.
The U.S. Embassy stated that its CEO Dialogue series reflects the United States' continued commitment to partnering with Nepal on economic growth, digital innovation, and private-sector-led development while sharing American expertise and best practices with Nepali stakeholders.
