Kathmandu-On the second trading day of the week, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by 6.11 points to close at 2,576.29 on Tuesday, compared to the previous trading session.
A total of 164 companies posted gains in their share prices, while the share prices of 101 companies declined.
During the day’s trading, 18.293 million shares of 383 companies were traded through 53,854 transactions.
The total daily turnover stood at Rs 8.417 billion, up from Rs 7.468 billion recorded in the previous trading session.
Shares of 9% Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited Debenture 2087 recorded the highest gain of the day, rising 10.22 per cent. Meanwhile, 7% Nepal SBI Bank Debenture 2090 posted the steepest decline, with its share price falling 9.68 per cent.
In terms of trading value, 10% KBL Debenture 2090 topped the list, with debt securities worth Rs 527.183, million changing hands.
Among the 13 sectoral indices, only Manufacturing And Processing ended in negative territory.
The Trading sub-index recorded the biggest gain of the day, falling by 1.47 per cent.
