Kathmandu-The Australian Embassy in Nepal has issued a travel advisory for its citizens, warning of possible disruptions in Kathmandu Valley on March 28, when major political protests are expected to take place.
The Socialist Front has announced a massive protest and public rally in the capital, while the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is reportedly planning a pro-monarchy demonstration.
The Embassy anticipate large crowds, a heavy security presence, and significant traffic disruptions across key areas of the city.
The embassy has urged Australian nationals in Nepal to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures. It has advised them to stay alert to potential risks, limit their movement, and avoid unnecessary travel.
Additionally, the embassy has recommended avoiding areas affected by protests and large gatherings, monitoring local media for security updates, and obeying curfews if imposed by authorities.
