Kathmandu — The digital tracking system for cargo arriving in Nepal from India has been expanded.
Previously, this system was only available for cargo transported from Kolkata and Visakhapatnam to Birgunj. From now on, it will also be implemented for cargo arriving in Biratnagar.
The system enables real-time tracking of containers and helps reduce physical inspections and paperwork. Although it was already in use for Birgunj, it will now be applied to cargo coming through Biratnagar and Visakhapatnam as well.
Containers can reach Birgunj by rail from any of these Indian ports, while those bound for Biratnagar can travel by rail up to Bathnaha and then by road to Biratnagar.
