Received bids from three companies for 'Package I' and four for 'Package II'
Kathmandu - The Department of Passports received bids from three companies for 'Package I' and four for 'Package II' in its global tender to print 6.4 million electronic-passports.
Announced on November 28, 2024, 'Package I' covers system enrollment, data management, and delivery, while 'Package II' includes booklet printing, personalization, quality control, and packaging.
For 'Package 1,' bids came from French company IDEMIA, German company Muehlbauer, and U.S. company Iris Software.
For 'Package II' bidders include IDEMIA, Muehlbauer, German company Veridos, and Polish company PWPW.
After a technical evaluation, financial proposals will be reviewed, and the lowest bidder will win the contract.
IDEMIA and Muehlbauer have applied for both packages.
