Kathmandu- A 52-year-old mountain guide has been found alive after missing for six days near the summit of Mount Everest.
Hillary Dawa Sherpa, an experienced guide disappeared on Ma y 30, was feared dead by rescue teams and his family, who had already begun funeral prayers.He survived six days without food, water, or shelter in sub-zero temperatures.
Clean-up workers spotted Sherpa crawling through the treacherous Khumbu Icefall.
Recuse teams evacuated him by helicopter from Everest Base Camp to a Kathmandu hospital. He undergoes for treatment for severe frostbite and extreme exhaustion.
