Kathmandu – The inaugural 'NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025' is making a strong impression, carving out a distinct identity among visitors.

While automobile enthusiasts are intrigued by the range of vehicles on display, the event’s efficient management and open, aesthetically pleasing setup have also captured attention.

Nepali automobile entrepreneurs have chosen to pursue similar goals through two separate organizations.

The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) and the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal are each hosting their own auto shows this year. 

NAIMA’s Mobility Expo kicked off last Wednesday, while NADA’s event is scheduled to begin on August 19.

Organized by NAIMA, the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 is being held for the first time at the Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu. After completing its first two days, the expo will continue for three more days—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Visitors have been impressed with the well-organized management, strategically arranged stalls, smooth flow of movement, and effective use of space, which have given the mobility expo a unique and refreshing feel compared to conventional auto exhibitions.

When NAIMA was officially launched last March, it had also announced plans to organize a mobility expo. Staying to that commitment, the ongoing NAIMA Mobility Expo has been widely perceived as distinct and well-managed.

In its debut year, the expo features 50 brands showcasing their vehicles, with 35 new models of cars and motorcycles unveiled to the public.

At a press conference held to provide details about the event, Shirish Murarka, coordinator of the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2025, stated that the expo would offer a different experience.

Like he said, visitors have expirenced the spacious stalls, ample customer lounges, smooth flow of movement, and efficient overall management.

 NAIMA has also ensured convenient parking by arranging sufficient space behind the exhibition hall and at the Nepal Police Club, making the event more accessible for attendees.

The NAIMA Mobility Expo 2025, held during Nepal's peak monsoon season, initially raised concerns about visitor turnout. However, with 15,000 attendees on the first day and 14,000 on the second, the expo has proven a resounding success, boosting organizers' confidence.

Favorable weather has been a key advantage. Despite the monsoon, dry conditions on Wednesday and Thursday ensured smooth visitor flow and seamless event management.

While some visitors looked disappointed at the absence of a few major brands, most praised the diverse range of vehicles and purchasing options. 

The expo's highlight was the showcase of newly launched cars and motorcycles, reinforcing NAIMA’s role as a leading platform for mobility solutions in Nepal

.Spanning 48 stalls, the expo features 21 car brands, 18 motorcycle and scooter brands, and 8 light commercial vehicle brands.

 Banks, financial institutions, and insurance companies are also present, offering support to buyers.

Beyond vehicles, NAIMA hosts knowledge-sharing sessions with experts discussing automobiles, road safety, and future mobility trends. 

These sessions, which began on the first day, will continue until the final day, Shrawan 25. The expo offers attractive deals on both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles. 

From established brands to innovative startups, electric cars and newly launched two-wheelers are drawing significant attention.

More than a sales platform, the first-ever NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 showcases cutting-edge vehicles and technologies while fostering dialogue on the future of mobility.

 As it concludes its second day, the expo is firmly on track for success.
