Kathmandu-Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has authorized foreign branch offices and equity transfers for domestic IT companies, marking a significant policy shift in Nepal’s digital economy.

iDream Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is the first Nepalese IT firm to receive formal approval to open a branch office in the US, iDream LLC, registered in Delaware.

For decades, legal barriers restricted Nepalese IT companies from scaling beyond national borders. This new provision allows them to compete for Fortune 500 contracts, access international venture capital, and establish a permanent legal presence in major global markets.
