NEPSE declined by 13.46 points

Kathmandu- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Friday has declined by 13.46 points to close at  2,837.78.

Alongside the benchmark index, key indicators also posted decreased. The Sensitive Index, which tracks the performance of 'A' class companies,  dropped by 0.70 percent. Similarly, the Sensitive Float Index down by 1.64 percent, while the Float Index declined by 1.73  percent.

Trading activity saw a total of 21,087,628 shares of 335 companies exchanged in 97,480 transactions. The day’s total turnover stood at Rs 8.993 billion. 

After a sharp decline of 105 points on Sunday, NEPSE rebounded with an 83.33-point gain on Monday, followed by a marginal drop of 2 points on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the index rose again by 45.12 points to settle at 2,802.52 before extending gains further on Thursday.

NEPSE recorded a strong gain on the fifth trading day of the week, rising by 48.71 points.

Four companies hit positive circuit levels during the session, including Bhujung Hydropower Limited, Super Khudi Hydropower Limited,Hotel Forest Inn Limited, and Palpa Cement Industries Limited

Sanstha, Ridge Line Energy Limited, Solu Hydropower Limited, Hotel Forest Inn Limited, , and Suryakunda Hydro Electric Limited.

In terms of turnover, National Hydro Power Company Limited recorded the highest trading value, with shares worth Rs 513.299 million changing hands.

Of the 13 subgroups, only hydropower, and manufacturing and processing ended the day in positive territory.
