NEPSE falls 26.16 points as most stocks decline

Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock Exchange index fell by 26.16 points to close at 2,770.26 on Tuesday.

Market breadth remained weak. Share prices of 42 companies rose, while 213 declined and 14 remained unchanged.Daily turnover reached Rs 6.52 billion.

The biggest gain came from Himalayan Bank Limited bond, which rose by 6 percent.

By transaction value, Palpa Cement Company recorded the highest turnover at Rs 583 million.

Only one subgroup index posted gains, while 12 declined. The hotel and tourism subgroup led the losses, dropping 2.56 percent.
