Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock Exchange index fell by 5.73 points to close at 2,738.72 on Thursday.
Share prices of 98 companies rose, while 161 declined and 10 remained unchanged. Daily turnover reached Rs 4.916 billion.
The biggest gain came from Shreenagar Agritech Industries Limited, which rose by 12.57 percent.
By transaction value, Reliance Spinning Mills Limited recorded the highest turnover at Rs 267.568 million.
Only two subgroup index posted gains, while 11 declined.
