After making waves in India, these EVs are set to offer advanced technology, great driving range, and affordable pricing, making them perfect for Nepal’s growing demand for eco-friendly cars. From compact SUVs to spacious family EVs, these new models are ready to transform Nepal’s auto market and drive the country closer to a greener future.

Here’s a look at the most anticipated electric cars expected to hit Nepal’s roads in 2025:

1. Hyundai Creta EV

One of the most eagerly awaited EVs, the Hyundai Creta EV, is set to debut on January 17, 2025, at the Auto Expo in India before its launch in Nepal. Equipped with a 45 kWh battery pack, this electric SUV delivers 138 bhp and 255 Nm of peak torque. Its design closely resembles the facelifted Creta but features EV-specific enhancements like a blanked-off grille, unique badging, and aerodynamic alloy wheels.

2. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle, the e Vitara, will also premiere at the Bharat Mobility Expo in India on January 17, 2025. The e Vitara, codenamed YY8, will arrive in Nepal later in the year. It will be built on an all-new skateboard platform named Heartect-e (40PL). With options for 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, its most powerful AWD variant boasts 184 bhp and 300 Nm of torque.

3. Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors will introduce the Harrier EV, one of the most anticipated EVs of 2025, at the Bharat Mobility Expo. This electric SUV, powered by a 60 kWh battery, offers a range of approximately 500 kilometers. The Nepali version will feature subtle EV-specific design changes and an AWD option for enhanced performance.

4.Mahindra XUV3XO EV

Mahindra’s compact electric SUV, the XUV3OO EV (codenamed S240), is expected to arrive in Nepal by mid-2025. With a 35 kWh battery pack, it will compete with models like the Tata Nexon EV. Anticipated to be priced competitively, it will cater to Nepal’s growing demand for affordable EVs.

5. Toyota Urban Cruiser EV

The Urban Cruiser EV from Toyota, sharing its platform and powertrain with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, is set for a mid-2025 launch in Nepal. 6. Kia Carens EV

The Kia Carens EV, which has been spotted during test runs, is scheduled for a 2025 launch in Nepal. Retaining its ICE counterpart’s design, this electric version includes EV-specific updates like connected tail lamps and a 45 kWh battery pack, shared with the Hyundai Creta EV.

7. Mahindra XEV 7e

Mahindra’s electrified XEV 7e, based on the XUV700, is set to make its Nepali debut in 2025. This SUV offers two battery options—59 kWh and 79 kWh—with standard rear-wheel drive and 3-row seating configurations in both 6- and 7-seater layouts.

8. Hyundai Venue EV

Hyundai’s electric version of the Venue is expected to hit the Nepali market in late 2025. Designed to rival the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV3OO EV, the Venue EV will feature two battery pack options with a range of approximately 400 kilometers per charge.
