U.S. Embassy Nepal, Nepal Police, and APF conclude Police Week 2026

Kathmandu- The U.S. Embassy Nepal in partnership with Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal  concluded Police Week 2026, highlighting the importance the United States places on the strong partnership with Nepal’s law enforcement agencies.

Inaugurated by Charge d’Affaires Christopher Reynolds, IGP of Nepal Police Dan Bahadur Karki, IGP of Armed Police Force, Nepal Narayan Datta Poudyal and Regional Security Officer Wilbert Vaughn, the celebration week began with a 5K Run.

Participants from the embassy joined Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal in events including 5K, 10K, and 20K runs, cycling, hiking, football, and a law enforcement exhibition.

The closing ceremony attended by the Charge d’Affaires and senior leadership from Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal marked the successful conclusion of a meaningful week of engagement.

The week underscored the U.S. commitment to strengthening cooperation and the Embassy's gratitude to Nepal’s law enforcement personnel for their dedicated service in safeguarding the community. In the United States, throughout Police Week, we honor the sacrifices of our law enforcement community and the families who stand beside them.
