Kathmandu-On the third trading day of the week, Tuesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 21.62 points to reach 2,638.60.
Shares of 328 companies were traded. A total of 9,364,938 shares changed hands. Turnover stood at Rs 4.23 billion.
The sensitive index increased by 0.51 points. The float index rose by 0.78 points. The sensitive float index gained 0.59 points.
The share price of Salpa Bikas Bank again hit the positive circuit level.
The share price of Reliance Spinning Mills rose by around 9.5 per cent. The biggest loss came from Nepal SBI Bank, which fell by 3.58 per cent.
In terms of turnover, SY Panel Nepal recorded transactions worth Rs 377.2 million. Shares of Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company worth more than Rs 240 million were also traded.
Indices of all 13 subgroups increased. The hotel and tourism subgroup recorded the highest gain of 2.02 per cent.
