Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) , on the last trading day of the week, increased by 8.97 points to close at 2,671.07 points.

A total of 27,780,584 shares of 337 companies were traded today, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 11.10 billion.

The Sensitive Index increased by 0.33 per cent, the Float Index rose by 0.46 per cent, and the Sensitive Float Index gained 0.36 per cent.

Shares of Mid-Bhotekoshi Hydropower Company hit the positive circuit level during trading today. Shares of Rasuwagadhi Hydropower increased by around 10 per cent, while Khani Khola Hydropower gained 7 per cent. Meanwhile, Kalinchowk Darshan recorded the highest loss of the day, falling by 7.59 per cent.

In terms of transaction value, Ngadi Group Power recorded the highest turnover, with shares worth Rs 705.3 million traded. Shares of SY Panel Nepal worth around Rs 435 million were traded, while Ridi Power recorded transactions worth nearly Rs 420 million.

Out of the 13 sub-indices, eight recorded gains while five declined. The Development Bank sub-index recorded the highest growth, rising by 1.18 per cent.

Similarly, the Hydropower sub-index increased by around 1 per cent. Microfinance, Non-life Insurance, Others, and Trading sub-indices recorded slight declines.
