Kathmandu- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed at 2,711.76 points on Monday, a decline of 12.26 points or 0.45 percent.
The NEPSE market saw 73 stocks advance, while 188 declined and 12 remained unchanged. The total turnover for the day stood at Rs. 4.41 billion with 10.74 million shares traded.
The top gainers are Sopan Pharmaceuticals Limited and Appolo Hydropower Limited, which saw price increases of nearly 15 percent. Likewise, the stocks with the highest turnover, led by Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd with a turnover exceeding Rs 388 million.
Meanwhile, Manufacturing and Processing was the only sector listed with a gain, rising by 0.11 percent.
Other 12 sectors experienced losses, with 'Others Index' seeing the highest percentage decline at 1.82 percent.Trading activity was robust despite the decline in the overall benchmark index.
