Market breadth was negative, with 116 stocks advancing and 140 declining. Total turnover for the day reached approximately Rs 4.53 billion, with over 10.9 million shares traded.
During the trading session, companies like Appolo Hydropower Limited (APHL) and Sopan Pharmaceuticals Limited saw a significant percentage gains, reaching up to 14.99 percent.
Likewise, Global IME Bank Limited Debenture 2086/87 recorded the highest turnover of the day at Rs 331.122 million.
Among the sectoral indices, six sub-indices declined while seven advanced. The 'Trading' sub-index registered the biggest loss of the session, falling by 0.49 percent.
