Kathmandu- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index closed lower at 2,700.65 points on Monday, marking a decrease of 1.46 points or 0.05 percent.
The market turnover was Rs. 4.44 Billion, with a total of 8,138,433 shares traded. Likewise, the investor activity showed a decline for 143 companies, while 116 companies advanced, and 14 remained unchanged.
During the trading session, Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower Limited and Yambaling Hydropower Limited emerged as the top gainer, surging 15.00 percent.
Likewise, Sopan Pharmaceuticals Limited recorded the highest turnover of the day at Rs 374.456million.
Among the sectoral indices, 10 sub-indices declined while three advanced. The 'Finance' index registered the biggest gain of the session, rising by 1.01 percent.
