NEPSE extends decline: Drops 47.71 points

Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock  Exchange  (NEPSE)  has experienced significant volatility following major political shifts in the country.

The NEPSE  index that saw a sharp decline of 71.05 points on  Sunday,  extended its downturn of 47.71 points to 2,831.39.  Consequently, the share prices of 237 companies declining, while 26 showing gains, and five remained unchanged. 

The daily  turnover dropped to Rs 12. 96 billion this Monday, from Rs 15.033 billion on Sunday. 

Likewise, the share of  Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, Bhujung Hydropower Limited, Ridge Line Energy Limited, and  Hotel Forest Inn Limited  hit the positive circuit limit.


Ridi Power Company Limited led in turnover with Rs 684.136, million worth of shares traded, followed by Ngadi Group Power Ltd with Rs 438.126 million.

Meanwhile, all 13 sub-indices ending in the red, where trading sector recorded the highest dip at 2.56  percent. 

The market insiders are believing that  market is experiencing a healthy correction or consolidation rather than a reversal of the bull trend, with many anticipating a 'high increase' or a breakout above the  its all-time high of 3,199.03 points, recorded on September 2, 2021.
