Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued its downward trend on Monday, decreasing by 16.54 points (0.07 percent) to close at 2,632.96.
Despite mild selling pressure throughout the trading session, market activity improved significantly, with daily turnover rising to Rs 2.67 billion. More than 7.699 million shares were traded during the day.
Market breadth remained bearish, with 240 stocks declining, 29 advancing, and six remaining unchanged.
Stocks like Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower Limited and Yambaling Hydropower Limitedare recorded with a 14.99 percent gain, bringing their close price to Rs 693.60.
Global IME Bank Limited (GBIME) leads with a turnover of Rs 88.362 million.
All listed sector shown in red among 13 sub-indices groups. The Non Life Insurance is highlighted with a notable decrease of 1.39 percent.
