Kathmandu-On the fifth and final trading day of the week, Friday, the NEPSE index declined by 11.37 points to close at 2755.41. In the previous trading session, the benchmark index had dropped by 13.46 points.
A total of 12,732,868 shares of 351 companies were traded through 51,601 transactions during the day.
Despite the decline in the market index, the daily turnover increased compared to the previous session. Today’s total trading amount reached Rs 5.62 billion, compared to Rs 4.70 billion recorded in the previous trading session.
Shares of Kalinchowk Hydropower Limited hit the positive circuit level in today’s trading. In terms of turnover, Aankhukhola Hydropower Company Limited recorded the highest transaction value, with shares worth Rs 556.9 million traded.
Among the sectoral indices, nine subgroups closed in the red, while four subgroups posted gains. The financial sub-sector recorded the highest increase, rising by 2.77 percent.
