NEPSE grants margin trading permission to 31 brokerage companies

Kathmandu- The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has published an updated list of member broker companies authorized to provide margin trading facilities for the  current fiscal year 

Issuing the notice today by NEPSE, a total of 31 stock broker companies have received approval to offer margin loans and trading services to share investors this year.

The approved list includes institutions such as Crystal Kanchanjungha Securities, Secured Securities, Vision Securities, Primo Securities, and Kohinoor Investment & Securities. Similarly, Dipshikha Dhitopatra Karobar, Imperial Securities, Divya Securities, Aryatara Investment, Dynamic Money Managers, and Dakshinkali Investment have also been granted permission for margin trading services.

The details further mention that Sweta Securities, Sumeru Securities, NIB Securities, Shreehari Securities, Nasa Securities, Siprabi Securities, and Bhrikuti Stock Broking have also qualified to provide this facility. The list additionally includes Sundhara Securities, Creative Securities, Trishakti Securities Public, ABC Securities, Shreekrishna Securities, Online Securities, Sunny Securities, Opal Securities Investment, and Kalika Securities.

In addition, institutional investors and large dealers such as Nabil Stock Dealer, Nagarik Stock Dealer, N.I.M.B. Stock Markets, and the final company on the list, Himalayan Securities, have also received authorization.

With this approval from the regulatory authority and NEPSE, the designated brokers will now be able to provide investors with leverage loans for purchasing shares.

This is expected to bring additional liquidity into Nepal’s capital market. Investors interested in using margin trading facilities are advised to directly contact these authorized member companies to understand the required collateral, service charges, and associated risks.
