Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) , on the last trading day of the week, decreased by 8.16 points to close at 2,662.91 points.
A total of 19.61 million shares of 335 companies were traded today, resulting in a total turnover of Rs 7.94 billion.
The Sensitive Index increased by 0.23 per cent, the Float Index rose by 0.30 per cent, and the Sensitive Float Index gained 0.26 per cent.
Three companies-Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower Company Limited, Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, Salapa Bikas Bank Limited defied the broader trend as their share prices hit the upper circuit, surging by the maximum daily limit of 10 percent.
In terms of transaction value, Ridi Power Company Limited recorded the highest turnover, with shares worth Rs 650 million traded.
Out of the 13 sub-indices, three recorded gains while 10 declined. The Development Bank sub-index recorded the highest growth, rising by 1.18 per cent.
