Kathmandu-On Wednesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index slightly increased by 2.57 points to close at 2,736.17
A total of 9,283,326 shares of 356 companies were traded through 49,248 transactions during the day.
Likewise, the daily turnover decreased compared to the previous session. Today’s total trading amount reached Rs 4.297 billion, compared to Rs 6.44 billion, recorded in the previous trading session.
Shares of Kalinchowk Hydropower Limited, Sopan Pharmaceuticals Limited , and Apollo Hydropower Limited, hit the positive circuit level in today’s trading.
In terms of turnover, Aankhu Khola Hydropower Company Limited recorded the highest transaction value, with shares worth Rs 280 million traded.
Among the sectoral indices, 12 subgroups closed in the red, while only one subgroups posted gains. The financial sub-sector recorded the highest increase, rising by 2.77 percent.
In today's trading, the indices of 6 sub-groups decreased. The indices of 7 sub-groups decreased. The index of the hydropower sub-group increased the most by 1.77 percent. While the index of the other sub-group decreased the most by 0.43 percent.
