Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has inched up by 5.38 points on Wednesday and closed at 2731.89.
Shares of 334 companies were traded. A total of 23.61 million shares changed hands. Total turnover reached Rs 11.49 billion.
The Sensitive Index dropped by 0.04 percent. The Sensitive Float Index declined by 0.04 percent. The Float Index fell by 0.01percent.
Corporate Development Bank Limited, and Ankhukhola Hydropower hit the circuit level, while share prices of Mithila Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. increased by 9.51 percent. In contrast, 12% Goodwill Finance Limited Debenture 2083 recorded the biggest loss, down 8.07 percent.
Ankhukhola Hydropower led turnover with Rs 835.751 million worth of shares traded.
Out of 13 sub indices, eight increased and five declined The Finance sub index rose the most, up 1.24 percent.
Investors continue to wait for the index to cross its all time high of 3,199.03 points set on September 2, 2021. The market touched 3,000.81 points on August 31 last year and 3,002.08 points on August 13 before retreating.
