Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index on Sunday, slightly increased by 4.45 points to close at 2,824.90.
The daily turnover has recorded to Rs 14.329 billion on Sunday.
Among other indices, the Sensitive Index increased slightly by 0.08 points, while the Float Index increased by 0.07 points and the Sensitive Float Index increased by 0.11 points.
Shares of Solu Hydropower Limited hit the positive circuit level, making it one of the top gainers of the day. Likewise, the share prices of Salapa Bikas Bank Limited jumped by 9.99 percent.
Based on trading volume, shares of the GreenLife Hydropower Limited recorded the highest transactions worth Rs 810.121million.
Out of the 13 trading subgroups, only four subgroup recorded loss, while nine increased.
The trading index posted the largest gain, jumped by 2.83 percent.
Meanwhile, recent election results have provided fresh momentum to the stock market, which had remained relatively stable for a long period. Investors appear optimistic, as the strong mandate received by new political forces—seen as alternatives to traditional parties—has raised expectations of economic reforms, improved governance, and structural changes in the country’s economy.
