Kathmandu-The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday, following a correction on Wednesday, seen a gain of 14.21 points to 2,950.16
Today, 342 companies traded, with 30.438 million shares changing hands through 142,733 transactions, generating a turnover of Rs 13.162 billion.
Shares of Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, Super Khudi Hydropower Limited, and Hotel Forest Inn Limited hit the positive circuit limit. Likewise, the share of Solu Hydropower Limited has surged by 9.99 percent.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited led in turnover with Rs 942.980 million worth of shares traded, followed by SY Panel Nepal Limited with Rs 719.250 million.
Out of 13 subgroups, nine gained while three declined. The hydropower subgroup recorded the highest rise at 1.56 percent.
Investor confidence appears to be improving amid preparations for the formation of a new government. The market is expected to surpass its all-time high of 3,199.03 points, recorded on September 2, 2021.It recently reached 3,000.81 points on August 17 and 3,002.08 on August 30 before fluctuating. Analysts believe the market is nearing the psychological threshold of 3,000 points again, despite the uncertain short-term outlook.
