Kathmandu-Reliance Spinning Mills earned a net profit of Rs 137.435 million in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2025-26. According to the company’s second quarter financial statement released on Thursday, its operating profit stood at Rs 329.848 million during the period.
In the second quarter, the company recorded total income of Rs 4.79 billion and total expenditure of Rs 4.19 billion. Net worth per share increased to Rs 490.54.
Reliance Spinning Mills, recently issuing an Initial Public Offering, is Nepal’s largest employment generating and export oriented company. The company has a paid up capital of Rs 1.90 billion. It has 21,807 shareholders. After completing share allotment, the company is in the process of listing its shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange.
Established three decades ago, Reliance Spinning Mills produces cotton, polyester, viscose, acrylic, and textured yarn through its industries located in Duhabi and Khanar of Sunsari. The company’s products are consumed in Nepal and exported to countries including India and Turkey. The company exports products worth around USD 50 million annually.
The company employs more than 4,000 people. Around 1,300 of them are women, reflecting its worker friendly identity.
