Kathmandu- The stock market, which has been fluctuating, has shown a steady increase over the past five days.
During this period, the market has risen by 70.33 points in total.
The market experienced moderate growth last Wednesday, Thursday, and this Sunday, but saw a significant rise on Monday. Tuesday continued the upward trend.
On Tuesday, the market rose by 6.16 points, reaching 2,646.84 points. A total of Rs 5.38 billion worth of shares were traded, with 126 companies seeing an increase in share prices, 107 companies seeing a decrease, and 10 companies remaining unchanged.
Looking back at last week, the market dropped by 21.12 points on Sunday, with the market closed on Monday. On Tuesday, it fell by 33.08 points, but recovered with a rise of 5.10 points on Wednesday and 4.63 points on Thursday. This week, Sunday saw a gain of 5.32 points, and Monday witnessed a larger rise of 49.12 points, bringing the market to 2,640.68 points.
Despite the fluctuations, the market has been hovering around the same level for some time, but now shows a consistent upward trend. Investors, who were previously hesitant, now seem optimistic that the market is on its way to recovery.
The market is signaling positive momentum, with hopes that it will soon surpass its all-time high of 3,199 points, which was achieved on August 18, 2021, a level that has remained unbroken for a long time.
