Kathmandu -Amid fluctuations, the stock market saw a significant rise on Monday after a long time. Despite the market struggling to reach anticipated heights due to a lack of investor confidence, investors now seem optimistic that the market is regaining momentum.
While a single day's substantial growth may not be enough to definitively assess the market's condition, analysts believe that all indicators point toward a positive trend in market recovery.
The second trading session of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) this week on Monday saw the market rise by 49.12 points, closing at 2640.68.
Shares worth Rs 6.35 billion were traded, with prices increasing for 226 companies, declining for 12, and remaining unchanged for four.
In the previous week, the market declined by 21.12 points during the first trading session on Sunday and remained closed on Monday. On Tuesday, it fell by 33.08 points to 2,576.
However, it rebounded slightly, gaining 5.10 points on Wednesday and 4.63 points on Thursday. Yesterday as well, the market rose by 5.32 points.
While predicting the market's exact trajectory remains challenging, analysts note that conditions are favorable for growth. The all-time high of 3,199 points, achieved on August 19, 2021, continues to be a long-term target for the market.
